Those eligible for issuance can apply (New/Reissue) from Groupware. Hospital card cannot be used as library cards.
For those who belong to Seiryo campus and are not issued a magnetic card student/staff ID (research students, part-time lecturers, etc.), the Medical Library will issue a card for use. Please check Seiryo campus users (Seiryo campus network only) for application procedures.
Please contact each department for card magnetic failure.
Entrance and Exit Gates
To entry and exit, scan your ID card in the card reader at the gates. When you entry, you must be checked for body temperature as well as card authentication.
Cautions
If your luggage or body enters the gate before system transaction is completed, the gate will not open.
If you do not have a high body temperature, you can not enter the library.
If it doesn't work after a few tries, please step out from the camera and try again.
If you hear an alarm at the exit gate, you may have materials that have not been processed correctly. Please come to the counter.
After-hours
After-hours access is available for those who belong to Seiryo campus (The counter is closed.)
Please put your card through the card reader located at the after-hours entrance next to the main entrance or the entrance on the side of the Clinical Lecture Building.
TU members of other Campuses
If your main affiliation is on another campus and you are conducting research activities in a laboratory on Seiryo Campus, you may use Medical library after hours upon application. Please contact us for more information.

Besides the above, Campus members can borrow up to 5 items from other libraries with intercampus delivery service.
The latest journals, valuable materials, and items with "in-library use only" (red labels), e.g., dictionaries, syclopedias, cannot be borrowed.
Returning
Please return items through the counter.
If the counter is not available, please use "Book Drop" outside the entrance except DVDs. However, there will be a time lag before the return is processed.
You can return items borrowed from other libraries with intercampusdelivery service. (The School of Dentistry Library are excluded.)
Please do not place materials that have already been checked out on the return racks located in the library. Please be sure to return the materials to the counter or the book drop.
Extension of loan period
Extension of loan period is acceptable only once when the item has no reservation. Need to apply for extension before return date. Please apply for extension at the counter or via MyLibrary.
If there are other overdue materials, the procedure cannot be performed.
Once materials have been extended, you can not continue to borrow them. Please return the materials once and borrow them from the next day.

Materials that are currently out on loan can be reserved. Please request at the service counter (weekdays 9:00-17:00) or reserve materials online via MyLibrary.
Photocopying and Interlibrary services
Photocopying
You may copy parts of the materials within the limits of copyright law.
Photocopying of library materials (Self-service)
There is a copy machine (coin and prepaid type) on the 1st floor of the library.
For use, fill out "Application form of photocopy service" plased beside the copier and place it in the designated box. This is in accordance with Article 31 of the Copyright Act.
If you wish to make copies at school expense, please use photocopying service.

NDL Digital Collections
The NDL Digital Collections enables a user to search and view a variety of resources, collected and stored by the National Diet Library of Japan. (Our library participates in the digitized material transmission service for libraries.)

Only on-campus users are eligible to use this service. Please apply at the counter. We will guide you to the dedicated PC.
No electronic storage of images or photography of monitors is allowed. If you wish to print the images, a separate application is required.
You do not need to log in to MyLibrary to use databases, e-journals, and e-books. Please use them by connecting to the campus network. (Ref:VPN接続・学内無線LANの接続ガイド)
