Facilities
Cautions of Use
- No food allowed in the library.
- Bringing plastic bottles and water bottles are allowed.
- Talking on a mobile phone is allowed in only designated area.
- It is your responsibilities to take care of your belongings. Please be sure to bring your belongings with you when you leave.
- NO SMOKING in the library. (Smoking is prohibited on entire campus.)
- To prevent accidents, elevators are available only when the counter is open. Weekdays, 9:00-20:00. (In August and March, 9:00-17:00)
Use of PC
- Bring your own computer is available at all seats.
- PC seats on 3F of the main building are equipped with PCs. The Internet and Microsoft Office are available.
- Tohokudai ID and password are necessary to access websites outside the university.
- PCs for OPAC are available oon each floor.
- You can use campus Wi-Fi (eduroam / seiryo-user*) with your own devices, PCs or ohones.
- Only those belong to Seiryo campus can use "seiryo-user."
- For information on how to connect to a wireless LAN, please refer VPN接続、学内無線LANの接続ガイド.
Learning commons (1F)
- Conversation area. There are 11 tables. You can study while discussing.
- Up to 4 persons per table. A white boat is available at each table.
- Reservations are not required.
Group study room 1-6 (1F)
- For Seiryo Campus staff and students only.
- 【Hours of use】 Once a day during library hours, up to 4 hours. You can extend the period up to 6 hours in total.
- 【Number of persons】 At least 3 persons ( max.4-6 persons depending on the room). *Under 2 persons is also acceptable under certain conditions.
- 【Reservation】 Reservations can be made 3 days in advance via MyLibrary or at the counter.
- 【Application】 At least 3 persons in a group must be present at the time of application. When joining a group later, please notify the counter.
- For online classes that require speaking, the room may be used by 1 or 2 people. Applications can be made at the counter or by email.
- New rules for use after April 2022.

- ＜A-22：Medical Library＞The library is a three-story brick-style building located on the west side of the University Hospital. The main entrance is located on the north side of the building (the School of Medicine Building No. 2 side).

- 【Bus】From JR Sendai Station West Exit Bus Terminal No. 9, 13, 14, 15, Get on a bus for "Daigaku Byoin Keiyu" and get off the bus at "Daigaku Byoin Mae." (About 20 minutes, ¥180)
- 【Subway】Take the Nanboku Line subway bound for "Izumi-chuo" Station, and get off the subway at "Kitayobancho" Station. (About 5 minutes, ¥200)
From North 2 Exit, 15 minutes on foot.
- 【Taxi】15 minutes from Sendai Station.
*There is no parking for visitors. If you come by your own car, please use a nearby coin-operated parking lot.
